CBD sprays are oil-based topicals that are applied to the skin for stress relief and pain relief. With a lighter weight than other topicals, CBD sprays come in spray bottles and liquid form, for an easy application to the skin.
Dosage guidance: For pain, spray a small amout into areas with sore muscles or joints. For stress, spray a small amount of topical CBD on the underside of your wrist, and go with a product that doesn’t contain menthol or capsaicin.
Pros: CBD topicals can be combined with pain relieving ingredients like menthol or capsaicin, for fast-acting pain relief of targeted areas. For stress, they can be a good entry-point for CBD beginners that are looking for a mellow effect.
Cons: since CBD topicals don’t reach the blood stream, the effects are more mellow than CBD oils and ingestibles. The biggest complaint with topicals is that the stress relieving effects aren’t strong enough.
Everyone reacts differently to CBD. Start with a low dose of 10mg CBD per day, then adjust as necessary. Repeat daily.
If you increase your daily dosage, you’ll fall into the range of medium CBD dosage, which is 16 – 44 milligrams of CBD. Many daily CBD users take about 25 milligrams per day, or 750 milligrams of CBD per month.
For more extreme symptoms, a high dosage of +45 milligrams of CBD can be successful.
CBD can interact with prescription medications, so it’s important to get advice from a doctor before taking CBD, if you’re taking prescription medications.
